Job Description - Accelerator Programme Coordinator
Location: Cork, Ireland (On-site with travel throughout Cork as required)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: €35,000 per annum
Annual Leave: 21 days per year

We are an Irish charity dedicated to improving employment outcomes for people with neurodivergence and/or physical disabilities. Through innovative programmes, strategic partnerships with employers and schools, and inclusive employment initiatives, we empower young people to recognise their strengths, build confidence, and transition successfully into further education, training, and meaningful employment.
The Accelerator Programme is our flagship 4 day programme for senior cycle students with neurodivergence and/or physical disabilities, providing practical workplace experiences, career development, and opportunities to connect with inclusive employers.
Role Overview
The Accelerator Programme Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, delivering, and continuously improving the Accelerator Programme across Cork. This is a varied role combining programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, administration, and relationship management.
Working closely with schools, employers, volunteers, facilitators, and participants, you will ensure every programme is delivered to a consistently high standard while providing an exceptional experience for students and partners.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, adaptable, and passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for young people with disabilities. As the role involves regular travel to schools, employers, training providers, and programme venues throughout Cork, applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination & Delivery
Coordinate all aspects of the Accelerator Programme from planning through to evaluation.
Schedule programme delivery with schools, training partners, employers and volunteers.
Coordinate programme logistics, venues, resources and participant information.
Facilitate programme workshops where required, including employability sessions, mock interviews and workplace preparation.
Provide on-site support during programme delivery, including school workshops, barista training sessions and employer visits.
Ensure programmes are delivered safely, professionally and in accordance with organisational procedures.
Monitor programme quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Employer & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, employers, volunteers and community partners.
Recruit and support employer partners, guest speakers and volunteers.
Act as the primary point of contact for programme stakeholders.
Coordinate employer visits, work experience opportunities and workplace tours.
Represent See My Skills professionally at meetings, events and networking opportunities.
Participant Support
Support students throughout the programme, ensuring an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment.
Encourage participation and engagement during programme activities.
Work alongside facilitators to support students' wellbeing and learning.
Identify any issues affecting participation and work with schools and families where appropriate.
Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate programme records, attendance, consent forms and participant documentation.
Coordinate programme communications, reminders and follow-up correspondence.
Prepare programme materials including certificates, name badges, interview schedules and workshop resources.
Collect and analyse participant feedback and evaluation data.
Produce reports and outcome data for internal monitoring and funder reporting.
Support CRM and database management.
Assist with newsletters, website updates and social media content relating to programme activities.
Safeguarding & Compliance
Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR.
Complete all required safeguarding and organisational training.
Promote equality, inclusion and accessibility throughout all programme activities.
Working Pattern
The role combines programme delivery with office-based coordination.
Typical Day
9.00 am Office-based planning, stakeholder communication and programme preparation, or travel to programme venues.
10.00 am – 2.30 pm Delivering or supporting Accelerator Programme workshops, barista training, mock interviews or employer visits.
2.30 pm – 5.30 pm Office administration, programme follow-up, reporting, stakeholder communications and planning.
Weekly Rhythm
Monday
· Office-based planning, scheduling and programme preparation.
· CV workshops and participant support.
Tuesday & Wednesday
· Programme delivery in schools and partner venues.
· Afternoon administration and stakeholder liaison.
Thursday
· Barista College sessions, certificate presentations and programme administration.
Friday
· Employer visits, workplace experiences and programme evaluation.
When the Accelerator Programme is not running, the role becomes primarily office-based, focusing on planning, employer engagement, programme development and administrative support.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Full clean Category B driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle, with a willingness to travel regularly throughout Cork and surrounding areas.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Competent using Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets and digital collaboration tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small, committed team.
Desirable
Experience coordinating education, employability or community programmes.
Experience working with young people, particularly those with neurodivergence and/or physical disabilities.
Knowledge of disability inclusion, neurodiversity and Universal Design.
Experience working with schools, employers or community organisations.
Understanding of safeguarding, child protection and GDPR.
Experience collecting programme data, monitoring outcomes and preparing reports.
